Tuesday Poem – extract from the poet Rumi

“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.”

Rumi

The above words from Rumi the revered thirteenth century Persian poet, may be from one of his poems. If so, I haven’t yet found which one. However it stands alone as a great aspiration for writers and indeed for anyone. If you are not into singing like a bird remember there are many sorts of bird. Not all are sweet and sibilant, some are loud and raucous. Open your throats and sing it out…have faith in yourself.
